About Wildblick Expeditions

The wild,
seen differently

A deliberately small safari company in Arusha, planning private journeys across northern Tanzania for travellers who would rather go deeper than wider.

How we plan
Wildblick Expeditions

The difference between a good safari and an unforgettable one is almost never the lodge.

It is the guide. It is the timing. It is the willingness to sit still for another twenty minutes because something is about to happen.

We run a deliberately small operation so that every journey gets that kind of attention. Our planners and guides live and work in northern Tanzania, and we keep our routes to the places we know best: the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Kilimanjaro and the Zanzibar coast.

Our approach

Planned around you,
not around a route.

Most itineraries are built backwards from what is easy to sell. We begin with a conversation instead — what you want to see, how early you are willing to rise, how much driving you can bear.

From there we choose the camps, the guide and the pace. Nothing is booked until the shape of the thing is right.

How we plan

Four steps, one planner

A conversation

A call or a few emails about what you want from Tanzania — the animals, the pace, the budget and the dates.

A first shape

We send a route, a choice of camps and an honest view of the season. Then we refine it together.

The details

Once it feels right, we book everything and send a clear travel pack: flights, visas, packing and what to expect.

On the ground

Your guide meets you on arrival, and your planner stays on call from Arusha until you fly home.

What we believe

Six things we will not compromise on

I

Guides first

We choose guides for patience and judgement as much as knowledge, and keep them with you for the whole journey.

II

Small by design

No more than six guests to a vehicle, and a limited number of journeys each season so every one gets proper attention.

III

Honest advice

If the season does not suit what you want to see, we will tell you — even if it means travelling later.

IV

Room to change

A day held in reserve on every route, so a great sighting never has to be cut short.

V

Local roots

Planned and operated from Arusha, working with Tanzanian guides, camps and suppliers.

VI

Light footprint

Camps chosen for how they treat their land and their people, as well as how they treat their guests.

“They moved our whole third day because a guide radioed in about a leopard. That is the difference.”
